How to Apply

The admissions policy of Oasis Academy Pinewood is totally inclusive. Students are accepted irrespective of ability or faith. Those with disabilities and learning difficulties are also welcome. Admissions at Oasis Academy Pinewood are co-ordinated under the e-admissions process via the London Borough of Havering. For more information please see the Havering School Admissions website.

Nursery Admissions

Oasis Academy Pinewood has Nursery classes for 3 and 4 year olds which your child would typically start the term after their 3rd birthday.

Our aim is to provide holistic learning in a safe, happy and stimulating environment through which all children are challenged and make outstanding progress. To develop confident, happy children, equipped with foundations to nurture a lifelong love of learning. 

We foster a harmonious atmosphere which supports and promotes self-esteem. We build confident communicators supporting every child as an individual across development in all areas of the Early Years and Foundation Stage. We help every child to grow up feeling confident about their own identity, in a spirit of friendship, understanding fairness and the rights of others, valuing diversity, and ready to be a British citizen.

We have both morning and afternoon sessions available, with 39 places in each for our little learners. To find out more about the structure of the Nursery day, please visit the Nursery pages. 

Children who are offered a place in our Nursery, either mornings or afternoons, usually attend the nursery class for one or two years before starting in a reception at a primary school. The places are funded by the Nursery Education Fund.

Children who have a place in our nursery do not automatically move into our reception classes. To apply please apply via the Havering School Admissions website.

Reception Admissions

If you are a parent or carer and wish to apply for a place at Oasis Academy Pinewood for the following September, you will need follow the eadmissions process via the Havering website.

For transfer to Year 7, Year 6 children receive the local authority's 'Transfer to Secondary School' booklet via their Primary School, detailing information about all secondary schools in Havering. Further details about the application process are listed in this booklet.

Children in Year 6 at Oasis Academy Pinewood should note that transfer to local Havering schools is not automatic and the e-admissions process must be followed.

National Offer Day is Thursday 16 April 2026. 

If your child is due to start Primary school in September 2026, offers made on 16 April 2026 must be accepted or refused by 14 May 2026, and waiting list requests and appeal requests must be submitted by this date.  You can appeal if you are refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (Thursday 16 April 2026).

The Academy has made every effort to ensure that the policy complies with all relevant legislation on infant class sizes and equal opportunities. The policy also explains how parents/carers can express a preference.

Published Admission Numbers

For September 2021 and onward, our Published Admission Numbers are as follows.

Nursery				We are able to accommodate 39 children at one time and offer free 15 hours morning and afternoon sessions. 30 hours sessions (all day) are also available.  15 hour sessions can also be supplemented by paid sessions
Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4 & Year 5				60 spaces in each year group
Year 6				60 spaces
