Fees and Funding

Our Little Robins Nursery offers Government funded spaces of 15 hours per week or 30 hours per week if you are eligible (or pay for an additional 15 hours).

Will I receive funding for my child’s fees when they are 3 Years Old?

Because the Nursery is registered and inspected by Ofsted, we receive funding for all eligible 3 and 4 year olds. When your child is coming up to the term after they are 3 you will be given a ‘Funding Form’ to fill in so the Nursery can claim funding for your child which is paid directly to us. Along with legislation that comes with the funding we would need to see a copy of your child’s original birth certificate. Any problems, then please see a member of the management staff, who will be happy to help you.

How many sessions does this funding pay for?

Currently, the funding we receive means your child is eligible for fifteen hours (5 AM sessions or 5 PM sessions) per week for 38 weeks of the year.

The Nursery also offers spaces for children eligible for 30 hours per week funding. Please see the next section to see if you are eligible.

How do I know if I am eligible for funding support?

Places for 15 hours per week are funded by the Nursery Education Fund. We also offer 30 hours for eligible families. Your eligibility depends on:

  • if you are working
  • your income (and your partner’s income, if you have one)
  • your child’s age and circumstances
  • your immigration status

Please check to see if you are eligible for 30 hour funding - please check here https://www.beststartinlife.gov.uk/eligibility-checker

Families wishing to pay for full day care may pay for 5 additional sessions at a cost of £13.50 per session.

Additional top up charge

If your child is eligible for 30 hours and you wish for your child to stay until 3.15pm (end of the normal school day), we charge an additional top up fee of £2.00 per day.

For those children staying all day, they can bring a packed lunch to school. However, if a school dinner is required instead, this will be charged as an additional cost at the current price of our school dinners.
